Thank you for stopping by...
I've been working in photography for almost ten years but have had a love for it since studying it at school, where I remember spending hours tucked away in the darkroom printing photographs. Aged 21, I moved to Amsterdam for two years where I took an evening class in photography (in Dutch!) and on my return to the UK, I moved to London to study for a Higher National Diploma in Fashion Photography and Styling at The London College of Fashion. I took the fashion route when leaving college and worked as a freelance stylist for Shape and Virgin Student magazines. I then went on to work on Woman & Home magazine's editorial team as Fashion Assistant. During my years working in the fashion industry, I was lucky enough to work on shoots in some wonderful locations, including Cape Town and although I wasn’t working on the photography side, it gave me great experience in preparing for and working on photo shoots, gaining a strong attention to detail. I went on to work as Deputy Manager of the Style Advisors at Topshop, Oxford Circus when they'd just launched personal shopping and I helped to grow the service..
When I decided to make the switch to photography, I was lucky enough to secure a job as a studio assistant, working with a reportage wedding photographer, spencefrederick.co.uk and I frequently worked as second photographer. Most days were spent in the studio editing thousands of wedding photographs and this experience was a solid foundation for my photography career.
Nowadays, I mostly work on reportage projects covering anything from technology events and conferences to boxing and MMA shows.
